As one of the ‘Superbrands’, Lee Kum Kee are global market leaders in the authentic Chinese food arena. With a huge market-share in the catering sector, they wanted to enter the consumer market with a new range of cooking sauces aimed at the home chef. So they asked us to help.
Now we’re not packaging experts, but after giving us the same information they gave their other packaging agencies, we were able to draw some very different conclusions.
Using our concentrated brand discovery process, we quickly identified the opportunity to establish a premium position for the brand in a market saturated with less distinctive rivals.
We created packaging that was both contemporary, bold and arresting whilst giving confidence to the consumer through synergy with the parent brand.
