Each day, almost 200,000 Lufthansa passengers have to find their way to check-in desks and departure lounges amidst the hustle and bustle of over 200 international airports.
Now, airports aren’t the easiest places to navigate, so when Lufthansa asked us to make their passengers’ journeys a little easier, we were more than happy to help.
Adopting a distinctive and highly visible illustrative style, we created an entire suit of icons to help passengers easily identify check-in desks, lounges, baggage reclaim areas and toilets. The hand drawn graphic style makes for a pleasant departure from conventionalĀ airport signage, and the strong use of yellow enables passengers to pick out Lufthansa’s facilities in crowded areas.
So successful was the project that Lufthansa adopted the concept for signage applications within their corporate offices in Frankfurt, Germany.
